As rare as it’s blade is awesome. A Persian Shamshir with a supremely decorated Northern Indian Patta / Scorpian Tegha Blade. Circa 1850, sometimes referred to as a Persian Revival Shamshir. Swords of this era are described as Indo-Persian as that reflects the cross border fluidity of design and blades; this blade likely to have been made in Northern India (or made in Persia by a blade maker from India) and then cutled / hilted in what was then Persia. This is an Islamic weapon.

The Northern Indian straight then pronounced curved, higly decorated, almost Kilij shaped blade is in very good condition, some minor nicks / dings, and firm in the hilt. The Persian forward facing langets hilt with smooth grip and rounded pommel is aged but good. Scabbard absent.
