You can read about the 15th Century blade smith maker Ohmi Daijo Fujiwara Yukimitsu here and here. He is a highly ranked Jo Saku smith. The blade likely dates from 1455 to 1466. The fittings are typical of the Boxer Rebellion era.
The 19 3/4 inch nagasa (cutting edge section) high quality blade is in good condition but for several nicks to the cutting edge and the slightest nibble to the point. The furniture (fittings) all firm but aged; the ito (grip braiding) has wandered (likely ca be teased / wriggled back into place), the saya (scabbard) is aged and has been glued back together. The sword sheathes ad draws well.
