Very nice hamon. Many Sukesada smiths! Take your pick Sukesada smith search (probably circa 1860). The saya (scabbard) and ito (grip braiding) indicate Boxer Rebellion era / history.
The 17 3/4 inch nagasa (cutting edge section) high quality blade is in good condition, a couple of (inert / cleaned) rust patches, some light cleaning abrasion evident. Furniture (tsuka, etc.) firm. The same (rayskin) has some age / drying splits. Saya Kozuka (small knife) absent. Saya (scabbard) itself good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
The blade is well above average in terms of its forging quality. A great bye buy for was £? (too late, now sold). Please quot item reference AH66. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1839 76x14x14 (1.330).
