The well etched 31 inch blade has some light patina patches but not too many, is in good condition and firm in the grip / hilt. The hilt / guard good, the folding section a little stiff but locates properly onto scabbard retaining pin. The grip good but for an ink spot (will remove with care); the twisted grip wire bindings are good but one turn on one side a lesser strand is a little astray. Sword knot a little age but good. Scabbard good; sword sheathes and draws well. Bag aged but good though hood come apart at seams. Buttons good.
