You don’t see a lot of these, to say the very least. A general staff officer’s variant of the British 1895 pattern infantry sword with crossed baton and sword etched to blade plus brass scabbard. Ricasso etched to retailer J Daniels & Co of Woolwich (London).

The 33 inch blade has a litght patina, etching clear, overall in good condition and firm in the hilt. The steel hilt / guard with some pitting is nonetheless good. The fishskin grip and twisted grip wire binding good but with some age and wear. The brass scabbard with a few dings and some tarnish is still good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
You are totally unlikely to ever get the chance to own one of these, so don’t hang about, just was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference AG61. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1479-117x15x14 (1.969).
