No crown over fouled anchor on the langets means this is an 1805 pattern. The black fishskin grip and plain domed pommel means this sword was for a midshipman or 2nd Lieutenant.

The 27 inch blade has some pitting etc. but is sound and pretty firm in the hilt. The hilt good but a little distortion to the cross guard. Black fishskin grip good; the twisted grip wire bindings have lost a lesser strand a few turns. No scabbard (what you see is what you get).
Scarce sword, desirable Napoleonic wars pattern, only was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference AG26. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1402-92x17x15 (0.782).
