Never sharpened, hence why it is on such good condition. Osborn of Birmingham were one of the very best British sword makers and it shows.

The 32 1/2 inch blade is supremely well etched and in very good condition, plus firm in the hilt. The steel “stirrup” hilt guard equally very good. The original leather grip with associated twisted grip wire bindings again, very good. The steel scabbard is, yes, very good. The sabre sheathes and draws well.
A stunning well above average example of the sabre the French feared (with good reason). Yours, together with the pride of owning it, just was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference AG11. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1328-101x19x16 (2.318).
