The gun blackening virtually intact except for by way of the light blade rust patches. The very tip absent, clearly old / period damage; who knows how. The 6 1/2 inch blade with Y shaped forte (for a hand ground blade) is in good condition but with light rust patches and said very tip end gone. Blade firm in the hilt / grip. The blackened chequered grip in very good order. The cross guard with correct crows foot / broad arrow B2 ordnance stamp. The aged and worn original sheath is sound, possibly with a faded name to the reverse; clearly seen harsh service use. The knife sheaths and draws well.
Great example and well worth was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference AF77. Further / full sized images available upon request. Tube 1250-51×9 (0.711).
