Blade etched “Duke of Lancaster’s Own GY”, Edward VII Cypher, and retailer, the respected tailor / outfitter / clothier “J. Langdon & Son, Duke St., Liverpool”.
The 35 1/2 inch period sharpened (point area) etched blade is firm in the hilt. The hilt with wear but very good. The grip is good but with patches of wear; the twisted grip wire complete and good but with some wear / slight movement. The leather field service scabbard good but with wear. The sword sheathes and draws well.
