In aged but good condition, a rare Early 18C English Queen Anne Sawback Hunting stag’s horn hanger / sword.

With the head of Queen Anne to the guard, dating this rare sawback version hunting sword from 1702 to 1707.


The 20 inch blade is in good order and firm in the hilt. The hilt in good though aged and slightly worn condition, small split to pommel (some back piece looseness). The stag horn grip is in very good condition.
These swords were designed as hunting swords but were also used by naval and even army officers. A scarce sword and a rare bargain for just was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference AE38. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 0841-1m (1.247).
