Apart from a sheathing wear line to the blade, some worm holes to the grip (easily filled), a small mastic repair under the pommel (where the grip wood is at its weakest) and light aging to the hilt and scabbard, this sword is near new, 90% blue and gilt remaining, pre-1802 British Royal Coat of Arms, made by famous cutler and Solingen blade importer JJ Runkel.
The 32 3/16 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The steel hilt very good. The original leather on wood grip is very good but for a few worm holes (treated) and a small repair under the pommel. The heavy steel scabbard has age (mostly tarnish) and a few minor scrapes / dings but is good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
