In good condition, a scarce WW1 British Irish Guards Officers Sword, by Thompson of London.

Etched to the sword cutler “Thompson of Dover Street, Piccadilly, London” who traded from 1910 to 1915. Blade serial number 108301.


The 32 1/2 inch blade is in good condition, some patina spots and wear, firm in the hilt. The steel (not plated) hilt is good, some age / patina. The grip in good order but some fading. The twisted grip wire bindings are in good order. Leather field service scabbard is good but with some scuffs / wear. The sword sheathes and draws well.
