This is the pattern of sword carried by English infantrymen at the Battle of Culloden in 1746. This one has distinctive very old nicks to the back edge, so it may well have seen battle there.

The 23 3/4 inch blade is sound though aged and with a couple of said nicks. The blade is firm in the hilt but the grip is a little loose in the hilt. The hilt / guard / grip is overall good.
Every collection should have one. This one is available for was £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference AD22. Further / full sized images upon request. Box 0433-82x16x16 (1.095).
