The well etched 34 3/4 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The guard / hilt with period chemical browning is in good condition. The hardwood or horn grip is in very good condition, save for a small chip close to the inside of the bowl guard; the twisted grrip wire bindings are also good. The leather field service scabbard is aged and worn with scuffs etc but remains good for its age and service. The sword sheathes and draws well.
