Multiple stamps to the forte, the earliest for ’98 (1898) during the reign of Queen Victoria. The stamp of maker Mole just visible. This sword saw service long after the death of Victoria.
The 32 1/4 inch plain blade has some patina / light inert russt patches but is overall very good and firm in the hilt. The basket hilt is in very good condition. The black fishskin grip is in very good condition, as are the associated twisted grip wire bindings. Scabbard absent.
