The well / partially blue and gilt etched 27 1/2 inch blade is in good condition and firm in the hilt. The brass hilt / guard has some gilt remaining and is generally good, though the outer bar of the guard may be a little inward (hard to tell). The ribbed leather grip is a little worn but good, as are the twisted grip wire bindings. The leather with brass fittings scabbard has a taped break (not full break) but is otherwise aged good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
