Unsigned, but excellent quality (the tsuba / guard is signed). The blade size means this is a slightly shorter katana or very long wakizashi.
The 24 3/4 inch nagasa (cutting edge section) blade is in good polish (very good condition / no nicks or visable ware), some minor light scuffing and tends to pick up very small amounts (spots) of old packing grease from the inside of the scabbard (easily removed and does not damage blade). Clear hamon. Furniture (tsuka / hilt, saya / scabbard, etc.) generally aged / worn a little but good (the same / rayskin has a split one side caused by dryness). The sword sheathes and draws well.
This is a high if not top quality sword and an absolute bargain at just was £? (too late, now sold). Please ask for item reference AI38. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 2010 107 x 16 x 15 (1.451).
