Later scabbard. Traditionally made / forged blade (se the tell tale irregular rust patches). Tell-tale period / old nick and roughness to the cutting edge more than implies use. Late 1800’s
Firangis (aka Khandas) were expensive, often seen in the hands of Mughal emperors, Rajpur maharajahs and Deccan sultans as signs pf their status.
The curved 30 7/8 inch traditionally forged steel blade has small fairly light rust patches and roughness to the cutting edge but is still good and firm in the hilt. The hilt / guard has some rust damage / small sections gone around the knuckle bow; the steel grip is good. The modern replacement scabbard is very good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
