In very good condition, a Prussian made British 1821 Pattern Cavalry Trooper’s Saber / Sword

Almost certainly made for the Confederate US Army as no markings whatsoever; duplicitous Solingen (Prussian) sword makers, while wanting Confederate business, did not want to upset the Union, so made unmarked sword in the British and French styles; this is one such example, but a rare one. With rounded guard bars and grip ears, this is modelled on the British 1821 pattern cavalry sabre but is clearly Prussian made. The likely reason this Confederate Army intended sword and so many others like it are still in Europe is that they never made it to the USA due to the highly effective Union Navy’s blockade of Confederate ports. The 31 inch blade, slightly shorter than cavalry sabers, suggests this a very rare mounted artillery trooper’s sword example.
No visible markings whatsoever, so not a manufacturer’s sample.
The 31 inch curved plain steel blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The steel guard / hilt is very good but with age (light surface rust). The leather bound grip is good but has some age including a dryness gap one side. The steel scabbard has age but is very good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
