Early 1920’s; worn etching just visible on one side of the blade. A scarce Polish 1921 model Uhlan Light Cavalry Officer’s Sabre / Szabla and Scabbard.
The 27 inch curved blade is aged / worn with cleaning scuff patch scratches and small patina blobs, but is firm in the hilt. The brass hilt / guard is good. The original leather grip is worn / aged but sound; the associated twist grip wire bindings are all but gone. The original leather with brass fittings scabbard is also aged / worn but sound. The saber sheathes and draws a bit tightly (and does not quite sheath fully) due to leather age shrinkage.
