The blade’s etching has all but been cleaned off, but you can still see a narrow band of it right next to the pipe back of the blade. General’s sword and baton under Victorian crown emblem to the cartouche of the guard.
The 32 inch blade has been cleaned bright and / but is in good condition and firm in the hilt. The “gothic” brass hilt has distortion though is sound with the folding guard still working. The fishskin grip is worn with some very small “moth holes”, the twisted grip wire bindings have some minor strands astray, hidden or missing but are generally good. The brass scabbard is aged, worn and dented with a break one side towards the chape, plus has one suspension band absent. The sword sheathes and draws with care.
