United States Army Model 1873 Bayonet, Sheath and US Badged Leather Frog to fit the 45-70 inch trap door rifle. Blued socket with locking ring to the middle. Blued tri form blade is marked to the forte with “US”. In its 1887 pattern blued steel sheath with leather hanger to the top fitted with brass hook to hang from the regulation issue US infantry canvas
The 18 inch blade and socket hilt is all in very good condition. The leather US hanger has sosme age but remains good. The steel sheath / scabbard is in good condition but has a couple of tiny dings towards the end. The bayonet sheathes and draws well and tightly.
