In quite good condition, a 1796P Waterloo era British Light Cavalry Trooper’s Sword

Faintly marked to Woolley & Deakin on the blade’s spine, with a British Crown over 4 view (inspection) mark to the forte, plus a B (bend test) mark to the spine, this sword was around at the time of the Battle of Waterloo and may well have been present at that most historic of battles; there is an apparent Napoleonic Wars period nick to the blade’s cutting edge plus a tiny hairline crack next to the bend test mark.
The regulation 32 inch blade is in good condition but with a steady age patina and the above mentioned almost invisible tiny crack. Blade firm in the hilt. The steel hilt / stirrup guard in slightly aged but in good condition. The original leather covered grip is good save for a drying crack plus a couple of worm holes one side. Scabbard absent.
