In good condition, late 18C British / American infantry officer’s sword

With the trading style of Bland, London from 1770 to 1790, it should stop there for identification. But the blade is clearly French (or French style) and therefor this sword was either made in London for a US officer, or is a captured French blade rehilted by Bland (Cutlers) as a trophy for a British infantry officer. Or even possibly an English cutled sword made for a continental / overseas officer (less likely as the sword was purchased by us in the UK and appears to have been here or a long time). You decide! The blade is typical French in style and has no British royal cypher. The forte styling is typically American rather than French.
The ivory registration number (making it lawful / legal in the UK) will be provided to the buyer.
The 32 inch blade is in good but aged condition, the blue and gilt etching still pretty clear. Blade firm in the hilt. The slightly bespoke yet recognizable as British steel hilt / guard dates the sword to circa 1890 and is in good condition. The reeded ivory grip is good but has some chip losses and discoloration. The scabbard, well, is what it is; partly lost, very aged and with leather breaks. The sword sheathes and draws well regarding what is left of that scabbard.
