In good condition, a Victorian British Royal Artillery Officer’s Wilkinson Sword

Serial number 38546 for 1900, towards the end of Queen Victoria’s reign and during the Boer War. For £10, it may be possible to have Royal Armouries (the keeper of the Wilkinson sales ledger) to identify the officer.
The 34 3/4 inch blade complete with supremely well etched VR (Victorian) crown over “honi soit qui mal y pense” royal coat of arms, plus royal artillery lightening bolts and field canon, is in very good condition (some wear / patina) and firm in the hilt / grip. The steel hilt / guard in good condition. The grip is worn but good. The twisted grip wire bindings are good. The leather field service scabbard is aged and a little worn but good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
