In good condition, a WW1 era British Royal India Marine Officer’s Sword and Scabbard

Scarce example with not only the Royal India Marine badge to the hilt / guard, but also the blade. Etched to retailer / cutler “S.W. Silver & Co Portsmouth & London”, dating the sword from 1901 to 1929, this most likely is a WW1 sword.
The 31 1/4 inch blade has some polished former rust pitting near the ricasso, but is otherwise overall very good. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt good. The fishskin grip in good condition, as are the associated twisted grip wire bindings; some slight m0vement in a lesser strand. The sword knot likely a more recent replacement is in good condition. The leather and brass fittings scabbard with some age is good. The sword sheathes and draws well. The folding guard sections locates properly onto the scabbard’s retaining pin.
