Acid test shows hilt is of pure silver, the scabbard of silver alloy. The kindjal does not sheath fully; we suspect wooden liner one side has split and is causing an obstruction (careful use of a long flat edge screw driver may be able to correct). The fine silverwork includes some Imperial Russian Blue. The blade with maker’s marks.
The 12 7/8 inch blade is aged with pitting but sound; a little movement in the hilt. The stunning hilt in overall good condition. The sheath also good, but with age / dents; the kindjal does not sheath fully.
