These austere keris were never used for ceremonies, like most keris were; no pamor but a solid blade. This is a robust fighting keris which were occasionally used for executions, which were last commonplace in the bloody military mass killings campaign against anyone accused of being a communist in the mid 1960’s, often by aggrieved neighbours.
The 15 3/4 inch blade is in good condition (save the Ganja small upper section is loose) and firm in the hilt. The simple wooden hilt is good but has age shrinkage cracks. The wooden scabbard is aged with scuffs etc, the Warangka (hilt) has the tip finales broken off. The keris sheathes and draws well.
