A rare 1857P Scottish field officer's claymore bladed broadsword
in very good condition.

A rare pattern of 1857 Scottish infantry field officer's broadsword,
George 5th, WW1 era. The acanthus leaf hilt copied from the Victorian
Royal Engineers sword but this is no mechanic's edged weapon for
sure. Carried typically by Captains.

Everything is firm; the hilt is in good order, a little rusted
on the inside; the grip has a little staining but the fishskin is
good and the ring bindings (twisted grip wire) present and correct.
The 33 inch blade is in very good order, a little staining towards
the point, but the etched area is very good indeed.
