The maker's / retailer's etched details to the ricasso / forte are rubbed almost clean with wear, but some remains and perhaps enough for a detective to ascertain the name.

The 32 5/8 inch blade in worn but good condition, some light rust, firm in the hilt. The brass gothic hilt not untypical with some bending damage (see photos) but good. The fishskin grip in good condition (a little "lumpy" from handling and age) as are the twisted grip wire bindings (one lesser strand slightly askew). The field service steel scabbard has suffered some light pitting on one side over the year but is good and sound. The sword sheathes and draws well, if just a tiny bit loosely.

A good example at a good price, just £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference number V90 (1103). Further / full sized pictures available upon request.
