Koji era Musashi Province Japanese Wakizashi, Sold

In good though aged condition, a Koji era (1555-1558) Musashi Province Japanese Wakizashi "Bushu ju Kanenaga".

Kanenaga is rated Toko Taikan ¥1.8M ($14,000 USD); that is for a blade of his in top condition, which this is not, but still........

The 17 3/4 nagasa (cutting edge section) blade is good, but aged, the hamon still visible, a small nick to the forward cutting edge. The later "furniture" is in good overall condition but with age, wear and slight damage, bindings need retying. The saya / scabbard has a scrape and age is sound The sword sheathes and draws well.
