WW1 era British Royal Artillery Officers Sword & Scabbard, Sold

In overall good condition, a WW1 era British Royal Artillery Officers Sword & Scabbard.

No maker's or retailer's name etched to the ricasso, so likely a mid-WW1 sword.

The 32 1/2 inch blade is in very good condition but with some patina patches. Blade firm in the hilt. The steel 3 bar hilt has some age / tarnish but is very good. Black fishskin grip and twisted steel grip wires in good condition. Plated steel scabbard with tarnish and rust spots / patches but good; one blade grip screw missing. The sword sheathes and draws quite well.

Nice, honest WW1 era sword. Very nicely priced at £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference V28 (0973). Further / full sized images available upon request.
