English Civil War Infantry Hanger Sword (Sold) |
Good condition infantry hanger from the English Civil War marked
with a Royalist Fleur de lis.

Marked with a Fleur de lis, this English Civil War infantry hanger
(sword) was carried by a soldier loyal to King Charles 1st or 2nd.
51 cm blade (which I believe to be the original length) is pretty
firm in the hilt, the stag horn grip lovely, the detail to the guard
and pommel very good, the original short quillon (little protrusion)
of the guard missing. This is an extremely rare sword in good condition.
