Sales enquiries

In good general order, this is an increasingly scarce Victorian model British Royal Midshipman's dirk. The 45cm blade has some remnants of blue and gilt etching, patina, a couple of nicks and a slightly bent tip. The scabbard has a split near the lower fitting nearly all the way around. The obverse locking pin mechanism is present and works well. The hilt / grip is a little loose and there is a small section of fishskin missing, otherwise in fairly good order. The scabbard fittings are loose and have been crudely glued back on in the past. This is a perfect renovation project to clean the hilt and grip and replace the scabbard leather by a specialist company such as Crisp & Co in England (this would make the dirk even more valuable). Worth every penny of £? (too late, now sold) . Further / full sized images upon request. My item reference number is 468 (49).
