Sold Item Notice

This fine sword has a ricasso so rubbed that we can not make out the maker's or retailer's name but the proof appears to be that of Reeves who became part of Wilkinson in 1880.

The 32 1/2 inch blade is still very good but wear and a light patina have made the etching feint. Blade firm in hilt. The hilt / guard with some speckled light pitting but is good. The fishskin grip with some wear and a graze, and some little spots of glue just evident. The steel scabbard with a few dings, plenty of patina and a little pitting is still sound. The sword sheathes and draws quite loosely, so the scabbard's inner wooden liner slats have gone.

A very high quality and scarce sword. Very nice, just £550. Please quote item reference T95. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 0825-1m (2.021).
