George V 1821P British Cavalry Officer's
Sword, Hamburger, for sale |
In good condition, a George V (1910-1912) 1821P British Cavalry
Officer's Sword by Hamburger.

George V reigned from 1910. This pattern of sword was replaced
in 1912. So the sword dates from 1910 to 1912. It has been period
and quite full sharpened, so e suspect the officer was stationed
either in Ireland or India.

The 34 3/4 inch blade, better one side than the other, is overall
good but has been sharpened along the length of the cutting edge.
Blade firm in hilt. The steel hilt with light rust patina, more
so inside the hilt. The grip is overall good though a little worn.
The leather field service scabbard has age / wear and is not so
strong any more. The sword sheathes and draws well.
Clearly this sword has seen active field service which is quite
evocative. Yours for £525. Please quote item reference T49.
