In good overall condition, a scarce 1786 Pattern British Infantry Officers Spadroon.

1786 Pattern British Infantry Officers Spadroon, Officer's Initialsimage T20 1

Sold Item Notice

With diamond section blade, this scarce sword has a little damage to the 5 bar hilt section (there is a crack on one bar to the forward side where it meets the hilt proper, but the crack does not go all the way through to the other side, so it is not a break).

The 30 7/8 inch diamond section blade is in good condition with a steady patina, some light rust (now inert) and is firm in the hilt. The brass hilt is generally very good save for the one crack. The reeded ivory grip sections are good and yellow with age.

A very nice and above average example of a very scarce sword. It can be in your collection for just £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference T20 (0742). Further / full sized pictures available upon request.
