French AN XIII Cuirassier Trooper's Sword, Klingenthal 1816, Sold

In good condition, a French An XIII Cuirassier Trooper's Sword, Klingenthal 1816.

A 100% authentic post-Waterloo (hilt / guard is earlier, pre-Waterloo) French An XIII heavy cavalry trooper's sword, feintly marked to maker Klingenthal and dated Juin (June) 1816 on spine of blade, with confirming post-1815 B poinçon on hilt for inspector Balaran.

The 37 1/2 inch blade is in good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt also good. Leather grip good (may be a replacement) but grip wire gone.

For us the most formidable and aesthetic heavy cavalry sword ever made. Very difficult to buy them this cheap, just £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference S82 (0707). Further / full sized images available upon request.
