The 35 inch blade has patina and inert rust pitting (not too heavy), firm in the hilt. The hilt / guard with some inert rust spots and an old / period label inside (left in case someone can work out what it says), The grip is generally very good as are the twisted grip wire bindings. Leather work all aged but overall very good (some low cost leather balsam may improve it even moire). The sword sheathes and draws well.

Good honest example and price: £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference R80 (0562). Further / full sized images available upon request.

Please note, the long back strap that sticks out in the photos is rigid, it has a steel band inside it. We have bent it double to be able to get it into the box. It should bend back, but you need to know about it, and that it may not bend back perfectly.
