WW1 era Prussian 1873 Model Uhlan / Cavalry
Officer's Sabre, SOLD
In very good condition, a WW1 era Prussian / German 1873 Model
Uhlan / Cavalry Officer's Sabre / Sword.
With iconic stirrup hilt. No maker's name visible. The "light"
etching is originally feint rather than worn.
The 33 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt.
The hilt / guard also good. The fishskin grip is good but some wear,
some small patches worn through. Silver metal twisted grip wire
in generally good order. The steel scabbard with some age and slight
dings. The sword sheathes and draws well.
A good example at a nice price: £? (too late, now sold).
