WW1 / GRI British Indian Infantry Officer's
Sword, Robert Mole, Sold |
A WW1 / GRI British Indian Infantry Officer's Sword, Robert Mole,
issued.

A scarce sword made scarcer courtesy the fact this one was issued
to an officer serving in British India.

The 32 1/3 inch blade is worn with patina / rust spots, firm in
the hilt. The hilt / guard with rust spots to the front, a light
rusting inside. The grip and twisted grip wire in good shape. The
plated steel scabbard has rust patches and spots but is overall
sound. The sword sheathes and draws but loosely.
Mole was a quality maker and this one of theirs is made more collectible
as it is a War Department issued sword. Yours for £? (too
late, now sold). Please quote item reference R54 (0536). Further
/ full sized images available upon request.
