Elizabeth II British Rifle Regiment Officer's
Wilkinson Sword, sold |
In good condition, an Elizabeth II British Rifle Regiment Officer's
Wilkinson Sword.

No serial number (normally a sign another maker was specifically
asked for a Wilkinson), but this is a quality sword and we are certain
Wilkinson's made it as it looks like one (each maker has a "look"),
and we can not imagine any of the few makers around during Queen
Elizabeth II's reign who would be capable in any / every sense to
mark their swords to another maker.

The 32 1/2 inch blade is in a little aged condition but very good
& firm in the hilt. The plated hilt very good. The faux fishskin
grip & twisted grip wire bindings also good, some wear. The
black leather field service scabbard is possibly a new replacement.
The sword sheathes and draws well but the absence of a leather stopper
for the blade ricasso / forte means there is a small gap with the
scabbard.
A great looking sword at a decent price; £? (too late, now
sold) . Please quote item reference number R41 (0522). Further /
large images available upon request.
