1827P Victorian British North York Rifles Officer's Sword, Sold

In aged condition, a scarce 1827P Victorian British North York Rifles (4th Battalion Green Howards) Officer's Sword.

Etched to the North York Rifles, who were the 4th Battalion of the Green Howards, who saw service in the Boer War.

The 32 1/8 inch blade is in good condition, the etching a little feint, firm in the hilt. The hilt / guard is pitted, the grip with wear and small losses, though the grip wire is still good. The steel scabbard also pitted and with a couple of dings. The sword sheathes and draws well.
