Sales enquiries

This sword is in parade condition and might suit a serving officer if they are happy to wear a sword with a previous monarch's cypher to the guard and blade. There is no maker's name to the blade indicating it is a WW2 sword. The black rifle regiment sword knot appears to be a later addition.

The 32 1/2 inch blade is in very good condition, the etching very vivid, firm in the hilt. The guard overall very good, a few small rust spots to the edge, not many / much. The faux fishskin grip in very good condition, as are the twisted grip wire bindings. The leather scabbard with some scuffing around the chape is in overall good condition. The sword sheathes and draws well.

A well above average example. Yours for £? (too late, now sold) . Please quote item reference Q98 (0443). Further / full sized images available upon request.
