Victorian 1858 / 1859 / 1871 P Martini Henry Cutlass Bayonet, Sold

In great condition, a guaranteed authentic Victorian 1858 / 1859 / 1871 pattern Martini Henry Cutlass Bayonet, Enfield marked.

With date mark 7/75 for July 1875, VR crown and War Department broad arrow, plus Enfield acceptance marks to the forte and spine.

The 25 1/2 inch blade in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt and guard generally very good. The grips with some age damage to the edges but overall very good. The locking pin mechanism works if a little sticky to return (needs oil). The leather and metal fittings scabbard with some age (couple of lesser kinks / small tears) but certainly above average.
