1912 Pattern ERII British Cavalry Officer's
Wilkinson Sword, Sold |
In good to very good condition, a Wilkinson made 1912P British
cavalry officer's sword and scabbard.

With serial number 87660 to the spine, this sword was made by Wilkinson
in 1965 so it is now officially vintage! Possibly this sword could
be brought back to parade ground condition.

The 35 inch blade is well etched and generally in very good condition,
plus firm in the hilt. The hilt / bowl guard all good; the inside
with a light rust (very light and yes, we have treated it). The
(faux) fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings in good condition,
though faded (can be easily restained) and a little movement in
the wire, but not much. The leather field service scabbard in good
order / condition. The sword sheathes and draws well, if a little
loosely.
Not many of these around, so grab it quick it only £? (too
late, now sold). Please quote item reference O60 (1374). Further
/ full sized images available upon request.
