Sales enquiries

A good solid / heavy example of the iconic Imperial Japanese army officer's shin gunto katana. Two character signature / mei, date inscription to obverse, post 1941 Seki stamp.

The 26 1/4 inch cutting edge (Nagasa) blade is generally in good condition but with rust pitting patches, some small nicks, and scuffing / scratching. Everything else is in pretty good shape; the leather catch / saya (scabbard) band has broken in two, but is still all there. The leather covered field scabbard (saya) is generally aged but good. The sword sheathes and draws well.

A good honest example for only £xxx. Please quote item reference O01 (1362). Further / full sized images available upon request.
