Sales enquiries

We have not translated the mei / tang, but it is signed and dated, with a Seki stamp. The cat scratch habaki and the appearance of the blade suggest, while not being Gendaito, this is a higher grade of showato.

The 25 1/2 inch cutting edge (Nagasa) blade is in good condition, no nicks, but has aging including some patina. Generally the fittings are in good condition, though the saya (scabbard) has lost its leather covering.

A very nice example for only £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference N45 (1312). Further / full sized images available upon request.
