19/20C Borneo Headhunter's Dyak Mandau with Blowpipe, Sold

In very good condition, a late 19th or early 20th Century stag horn Borneo Dyak Mandau with blow-pipe.

The 19 1/8 inch blade with various fine metalwork extrusions, engravings and brass discs is in good condition and firm in the hilt. The stag hilt is very good, some small breakages to the top. The scabbard is in good order, though aged and with some minor splitting evident. The scabbard has a section for and comes with the original blowpipe. The sword sheathes and draws well.
