Sold Item Notice

Designed by Colonel W. B. Dundas as an artillery gunner's sword, very few saw service as intended, but were also used by British Customs, Police (Constabulary) and possibly courts. The "HC" engraving on this sword therefore fits in with this, but we do not know which service it was used by. There are no inspection marks to the blade that we can see, so it was not used by the British army.
